Selfless

So last week we talked about being Selfish. Now let’s talk about a little thing called being ‘Selfless’ (get it? Selfish.. Selfless….? No? Ok. Blame Tabitha.)So. Being selfless is a little more then giving up your lunch to someone who doesn’t have one. Jesus (the Son of God) lived a sinless life. I said livED but really it is LIVES.  (Happy really late Easter guys!) Anyways…  When Jesus was here on Earth, He lived a sinless life; He was crucified. He saved us. “Not because of righteous things we have done, but because of His mercy. He saved us through the washing, renewal, and rebirth of the Holy Spirit.” (Titus 3:5) Guys… Jesus was SO selfless. “For the wages of sin is death.” (Romans 6:23) The price for our sin is death. And Jesus died for us. Wow.

If the Son of God, the King of Kings, would die for you… Then don’t you think we could do something to show His undying love for us? It may sometimes be hard. You may even be mocked for it, but maybe… Just maybe, we can be selfless too.

I know thats a lot to think about, but I want to challenge you this week. Look at your life. If you see some ways your selfish, ask God to help you make them a little more selfless.
